J*AiMz Vintage Logo/T-Shirt Design {Contract}

Sober Dreams

This was really more a gift to a friend than a contract design, but the colors are of his choosing! He is a rapper/producer for dubstep out in LA and he just moved back here where I am! This is his coming home present ^_^

Could use an original font, I am not feeling the font type on this one.

The design looks cool, but will have its complications if it was made in Photoshop and not Illustrator.

Unless you made a bigger more printable version of it.

Alright guys 1. I changed the font. 2. PLEASE understand these are CONTRACTED designs. My contractors at any given time have the right to say "do this, use this font, use these colors" etc. The font I had was HIS font, not of my chosing. I convinced him to like the new font tho...but when I say something is 'contracted' that usually means I do not have a LOT of free reign over the design itself....it is being paied for and needs to meet my coustomer's expectation to the fullest even if it is not the best of the best.

Im loving the Circle designs, but im not really diggin the lines going thru them, maybe make them feather out?

and I feel like this isnt the right color scheme, it feels dull. You should play with the colors some, it could be all it takes.

Id try a dark red and a grey maybe?

Aren't you the designer? If you went to school for this stuff you should know whats better and not him. That is why you need to show him sketches first, then he can pick out from that list. Not allow him to design the logo himself. So basically the idea came from him and not you. In this case his the designer, your the tool.

For future "contracted designs" have about 3 pages of rough sketches to show, then he can pick out one of your designs. He can pick out the colors, but you have to know what colors represent what kind of music it is. Why do you think do they give MW3 the color green?

Remember a logo is giving him and his music an identity so when someone sees the logo they know what it is about, even if they never heard about the company or in this case his music.
