Nanaki 18 Posted March 17, 2012 looks better than v1, still looking a bit flat though. grats on 300 posts sharpening and depth would help a lot I'll try and write down how I smudge: I paint lines out, then I grab my smudge tool. regular hard brush, 25% spacing 20-25 px size I think just try and smudge fluidly, no long smudges no circles, sometimes a pattern. I start with the dark, and I slowly paint on lighter and lighter and use a smaller and smaller smudge tool. then I go back to dark and I make dark lines to add curvature and smudge them in. then make light lines and do the same. kind of hard to explain but there are video tutorials on it.
