ManiFest 7 Posted December 10, 2010 So I tried taking an old school vintage design idea and played around with the Color Halftone filter. Now what makes this unique to me is that I took this old school concept and merged it with a new school idea. Meaning instead of using a real life subject I decided to try and make it happen with a anime render. I am actually quite happy with the result. It is actually kind of hard to explain the process. There was no layout. Started only with a render. Please see the render here with no halftone work: http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/8353/renderi.png Not in this particular order but these are some of the steps I took. 1. Render (Did not draw the anime character, it was a render) 2. Color Halftone 3. Hue/Sat Adjustment, Levels, Curves 4. Color Layer Fills 5. Some Gaussian Blur 6. Remove Dots 7. Lots Of Inverting 8. Paper Textures * Pretty much blend the halftone according to my preference. I am thinking of doing some more work with this. Took me about 2 hours to complete. I may make a tutorial for it some time to see the work I put into making this. VERSION 1 VERSION
rseah 3 Posted December 10, 2010 Pretty nice work m8. Perhaps you could add in some more shapes to make it fancier or maybe bokeh? Text could make it a bit more interesting as well. Overall its a bit plain but still nice GJ KIU
Silverwolf 1 Posted December 10, 2010 Second one is probably better. I would agree with the text. KIU
ManiFest 7 Posted December 10, 2010 I tried the bokeh it would not really work with the type of background I had going. I thought about text, I decided against it. I was going for a plain look, I did not want a complicated piece. I do appreciate the comments
