Spring's Bounty (3D Bloom Fractal) + Vicarious (Julia(n) Fractal)

Could have sworn I'd posted these here, but I guess not. Both images are scaled to roughly 33% of their original size [behance only allows for a max sized 600px X 600px image to be used.]

Proceeds from the case sales go toward a new PC to replace my current, crappy one.

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Those are beautiful! Where did you learn to make this, I would LOVE to learn similar techniques! Did you use C4D or Maya or something else?

Just Apophysis [ 7X version, found here: http://apophysis.xyrus-worx.org/ ]. With a little bit of Photoshop for some adjustments on Spring's Bounty.

3D Bloom fractal tutorial (Image): Apophysis 3D Blooms Tutorial

Julia(n) fractal tutorial (.PDF): Julia Uncovered v.2.2

dA has a TON of resources available for Apophysis, if you're really interested, I recommend checking out some of the stuff to help you get used to the interface. It's fairly simple and is mostly just a matter of experimentation.

I adore fractals, yet I've never been able to get my head around them! Both of these are really really nice :D

Wow it's been a while since I posted here. I've actually done quite a few more since then - in fact, I noticed the links seem to be dead in the OP.

Where to start, where to start...

Alright. Here we go. First up - The S U M M O N E R series.

Baaj Temple - Home of Anima

This was a set of Grand Julian fractals I'd created around the time the Final Fantasy X/X-2 remaster came out. Each fractal was themed after the Aeons of those games, and their temples [ifrit/Kilika, Bahamut/Bevelle, etc.]

A total of 10 fractals - https://www.behance.net/gallery/17489987/SUMMONER-Fractals-Inspired-by-Final-Fantasy-X

Prints are available on Redbubble: http://www.redbubble.com/people/sniperfox/collections/282136-summoner-series?asc=u

Next up, the A M P Series.

bd8ffd40586073.57852658ddd9b.png

Like the series above, these were also inspired by a game. This time around, the game was Amplitude. The 2016 reboot/sequel specifically.

Each fractal was themed after one of the 15 songs on the game's OST.

This series is available as prints on DesignbyHumans!

At around this point in time, I got invited to join Curioos. For them, I started created exclusive fractal prints that are only sold there.

The first of those, was NASCENCE. View it here: https://www.curioos.com/product/print/nascence

NASCENCE was another fractal inspired by a game - this time, JOURNEY from thatgamecompany. Specifically - the OST track of the same name, by Austin Wintory. It's actually the second fractal I have that was inspired by Journey - the first being APOTHEOSIS, which you can view here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/sniperfox/works/22720592-apotheosis-journey-inspired-plastic-fractal?asc=u&ref=recent-owner

There are quite a few more on that shop as well - like WINTER STORM, BREATHING UNDERWATER, CITADEL and my most recent fractal.

SPARKLE [Link: https://www.curioos.com/product/print/sparkle--floral-field-fractal-art-print

This is my most recent fractal - as in I just made it a few weeks ago.

Saw that some of my images were broken after checking in here after a....while.

Got an automated email from this place and decided to check in - see how things have been. Been really busy the last few years, working on ReviewHaven's YouTube channel + the website, as well as my own portfolio (Links all in my signature if you're interested - I do no commentary longplays on the channel and written reviews on the site with some editorial work as well. My portfolio recently underwent cleaning and now focuses more on my fractal art and 3D abstract work. Haven't had a chance to get everything I want on it, but it's getting there).

I've made and done quite a lot more work in those few years, probably a bit too much to post here in an update, so check out my Behance to see most of it. I got into motion graphics a bit, made a few Luma transition packs and a template for YouTube End Screens - all of which are available on Gumroad Ko-fi. Also made a charity video for Symbion Project a while back to go with his song "Such Letting Go Is Love", proceeds of which went to The Trevor Project (Unfortunately, that version of the song is no longer available on his Bandcamp).

I haven't posted here in a long time, mostly because I've been so busy and just haven't had the time to focus on stuff like signatures and forums too much. Want to try and change that.

About Us

Pimped Pixels was founded in 2010 by Maniak, Asura, Cliffbuck and Evilangel. Shortly afterwards Mikey jumped onboard and joined the team. We are a group of friends with a passion for art and a need to help others by sharing. The site started with just the four and in a short while grew to a community of over 4000 members. Everyone is welcome here, from complete beginners to all out professionals. We have something for everyone. Our aim is to give everyone with the "bug" a place to learn, make friends and share their passion.
