GOvectorZ 970 Posted December 12, 2012 Patrick Moore - British astronomer and broadcaster passed away on Sunday 9th December, He was a household name for many. Described by one of his close friends as "fearlessly eccentric", Sir Patrick was notable for his habit of wearing a monocle on screen and his idiosyncratic style. He had presented The Sky At Night for over 50 years, making him the longest-running host of the same television show ever. Patrick presented the first edition of The Sky at Night on 24 April 1957. He last appeared in an episode broadcast on Monday. I grew up watching this guy fascinated by the way he presented his show & made astronomy look fun to many. So i decided to start on a piece and thought i'd show the very start of laying out the basic line work getting the shapes/strokes in place. I don't know when i'll get back to this as time is short at the moment, but will post up updates as & when.
