Enjoy 2 Posted March 5, 2013 Welp, here is the original photo.Honestly, I have no clue what colors were fashionable back in the day, due to everything being black and white, so my friend told me to go with violet and a carnation type pink. It got really tedious and I got fairly sloppy with the flowers on the dress. (I'm a really impatient person at times.)Colorized:Tips?

Mikey 1,238 1 Item Posted March 5, 2013 Actually not all that bad. But you do need patience. I think if you start with a very high quality photo you'll get better results. Keep it up and keep practicing.
 Awards

Lustre 108 Posted March 5, 2013 Consider using gradient maps to colour instead of painting and setting to Hue/Color. If you were going for realism, people weren't yellow D:
Nexus 22 Posted March 6, 2013 Its looking nice but I'm not sure the green on her skin is the right way to go.
Vin 13 Posted March 8, 2013 Yeah I'm agreeing with the skin color, that's the only problem I see.
Kliddy 104 Posted March 8, 2013 Skin color can be quite difficult. Go for a more peach color instead of green. This piece has great potential. Another thing; you see the flowers on her hat and her hair on her face? Use a soft brush for those areas. Otherwise, great work

Wolverine V-X 5 Posted June 25, 2013 Colors need a bit more work, I am currently working with coloring myself, I abandoned signatures to start learning photo editing, i kind of want to start myself as a photographer and i want to be able to edit my own work, if you wish to practice along side me send a pm. Made this for another user at Reddit hope it will help you with your work http://i.imgur.com/qLFpahe.jpg as an example of tones i leave my version of this image, You need to use more subtle tones.
