WorkFlow for Basic FreeHand Linework

Recommended Posts

GOvectorZ

Thought i'd show how i have my Illustrator laid out for doing basic line work freehand.

Thanks to Astute Graphics great plug-in called "drawscribe", Illustrator has just become so awesome for freehand drawing in my opinion.

Not so much a plug-in with what you're used to with Photoshop, but rather a new tool set.

Thanks guys, but i'm afraid i can't take credit for the color swatch.

This is what i use mostly for anything that may be printed as it gives the best results when printing ;)

It's the "Panatone Solid Uncoated" which is available in the Swatch Library menu under color groups. Photoshop also has this haha.

If you plan to have your work printed,  then this will give the best results. Some may say use the cmyk swatch or even create your own from using the color picker/Kuler that is the way to go. But i disagree & will do every time haha.

This is from someone that has done a lot of research, a lot of testing and have had a lot of prints done and in my opinion the Panatone swatch gives the closest results every time.
