SETI was referring to all this new technology they had and how they were looking for and finding new systems / planets that could possibly inhabit human life depending on how far it was from the parenting star. Very interesting stuff, so I'm loving this comp! kiu! The first thing they look at to determine whether a planet is suitable for maintaining life is if it's within the Habitable Zone. This is basically an area not too far from the system's sun and not too close to it. Next thy look to see if there is an atmosphere, really easy to do.
