The lighting is what I'm struggling with most here.. it feels a little off. What do you think?

Top right to bottom left doesn't seem to flow very well. That green seems separated from the orange/red fire. Depth seems lacking on this one too though for the guy in the background, but the girl is fine.

I assume you mean blue, rather than green x) The blue is supposed to be coming from the magical source on his sword. But thanks for your comment Much obliged

Oh c'mon :p.. Parts of that are green:

 

for RGB, G has the highest value here. It's a very turquoise blue/green color. I knew my eyes weren't trying to trick me! haha

This is still better than I can do though. Something looked odd though about the guy in the background... It looks like he's standing out of the fire though and as if he is protecting the girl standing (or sitting?) in the fire, with the sword. I just noticed the green on her back though, so that was taken into consideration.

I am no expert of such stuff but... both focals do not fit/blend/bond I do not know how to say it. So they look like they do not belong to the image. 

My opinion though

I agree remove the guy and will look spot on ,or play with some gmaps etc trying to blend everything together better

I would say get rid of the dude.  Add some fire stocks and manipulate them around her from the bottom up (screen and lower opacity). Then add some warm tones and filters that will compliment the fire.  That's kinda where I would head with it... Fire and Lust!  kai

got to agree with the guys ,the man breaks this piece but i like the other parts,nice work
