Kainerok 21 Posted May 7, 2013 Logos created for a client in my class, what can be improved on? The client is an art and photography studio, so it needs an artistic element that I incorporated by drawing and scanning the typography of both.
Lustre 108 Posted May 7, 2013 One of the main issues from this is that I can't read the name at all. It needs to be legible really. Other than that, these are good starts!
Maniak_uk 5,063 Posted May 8, 2013 Well like the 1st design more readable than the pink one ,but agree should try keeping the text readable and maybe add some image element ,otherwise good start m8 kiu
 Awards
Kainerok 21 Posted May 8, 2013 Sorry I didn't explain the context very well, I was typing on limited time. Specifically what parts of the logos are illegible? For reference, they should read 'Amber Martin'.
Lustre 108 Posted May 8, 2013 It's almost impossible to read the name without knowing it before-hand - thus making it terrible for a logo. The brand, company name, needs to be instantly recognisable.
Kliddy 104 Posted May 10, 2013 I agree, it is hard to read but it is a good start
Mootinie 40 Posted May 10, 2013 On the second logo: The Amber part is easy to read but the A and the R in Martin both resemble a O and E to me. I would also enlarge the Tin part at the end of Martin as I think it's a tiny bit too close to the other word and that makes it hard to read. I really, really like the style here though. The second one will make a fantastic logo when you fix it up.
