ILLezt 14 Posted June 11, 2013 I haven't done anything as of late. Decided to practice. With all the commotion going on regarding government surveillance on everybody (innocents included), I decided to do a piece that touches on one of the most powerful tools used to deceive ever created, the Television. Not everything on tv is evil. I watch some tv every now and then. But I can't help but notice the grip it has on its viewers. The tv isn't to blame, but what is to blame is the mindless programming, and the people behind it. I find it difficult to understand why gossip intrigues so many. Why do we enjoy watching tv shows that consist of following the lives of spoiled brats, or the lifestyles of disease-infested fake italians? To distract us from "REALITY"? Funny how reality is actually used to describe this sort of programming. There is nothing REAL about those programs. Its just pre-fabricated DRAMA. Even more dangerous than that, is the ubiquitous "Terrorism", we keep being reminded of. Why are the news always trying to terrify the masses? For what? Why must they instill so much fear in the people? Why feed this insecurity? Telling us what to think. Simply put, I believe fear is the first step required here in order to justify military action. If you make someone feel as if they're constantly being attacked, one believes that something HAS TO BE DONE. Hence, American Impearialism throughout the world. Jealous of our freedoms...........yeah right. America is hated throughout the world, not because of its liberties, but because of the way they supress smaller, weaker countries. Think about it, if someone came to your neighborhood, started causing chaos, shooting people, and tearing down houses. You have a rifle, and knowing the chances of you and your family surviving are slim to none, would you not use it to defend your family and whats rightfully yours??? Of course you would. I would deem you a HERO for protecting your family and property. Yet, here in America, we are told by the NEWS that US forces were confronted by REBELS. Rebels who refused to leave their establishment. God bless YOU! Anyway, here is my piece. I had a hard time getting the tv's to throw off that night glow.
