BlackKnight0739 67 Posted February 23, 2014 Because this is a beginner's class, they handed us blanks that were cut from a piece of 1/4-inch sheet metal, but even with that advantage it still took about 2-3 hours of work to get the shaping and adjustments right. The curve of the jaws was already there, but the rest of the piece was straight when I got the blanks; the rivets, the tapering on the handles (and rounding the edges of the handles to make them more comfortable) and the shaping of the bits was what the assignment entailed.
