Thought i'd show this one getting done in steps and hopefully entice others to maybe try

 

Just prepping the rough-out, ready to start to add some simple details.

Well, i decided to redo this in Beech and just got the rough out done now.

Not done much in the way of carvings in the past m8y, but yes i've played about seeing i'm a carpenter to trade :p

Thx m8y, time wise....probably 4 hrs approx. (including what's left to be done which isn't much). The turtle is small at about 1 x 2 inch.
