SGTROCK 1,671 Posted July 21, 2014 As some of you are aware I am currently undertaking a Graphic Arts Course - Digital Design. one of the topics we were recently asked to research was a mood board based on a Poster for Stop Teenage Drink Driving. This is what I came up with. Mood Board reseach showed what a diverse range of issues there are associated with this topic, from the victims, to familiy and friends the flow on that weaves itself into everyday lives is complicated. I took the mood board one step further to a concept poster. The idea behind the poster is to appeal to the target audience, teens, visually. The background signifies the chaos created by a tagic event that could have been avoided by choice, the choice to stop and think. The rubiks cube signifies the complications and numerous choices teens are often battling with on their road to adulthood and the decissions they make. The cartoon character is a twist on the cliched hard approach we often see in advertising portraying the grusome carnage of road accident truama. Comments most welcome. Kaaz 60 Posted July 21, 2014 Awesome concept... love it! Nice work One thing... shouldn't it read.... Drunk Driving instead of Drink Driving or should say Drinking and Driving
SGTROCK 1,671 Posted July 22, 2014 Awesome concept... love it! Nice work One thing... shouldn't it read.... Drunk Driving instead of Drink Driving or should say Drinking and Driving Thx Kaaz, Lol I stuck with the guidelines I was given on the briefing for the activity, although Australian's do tend to refer to as Drink Driving rather than drunk driving I have heard both. It would be a relevant question as a followup particularly if targeting a specific age group. This was my first draft concept piece. As MK said it needs some refining. Appreciate your feedback, Thx
Peaches 180 Posted July 24, 2014 I think the overall concept is pretty great. Certainly eye catching, it would make me look twice and think twice. I would be interested in seeing a revised version, looking forward to seeing what you come up with
