Yeah the background doesnt fit and seems low quality. Did you try to make it bigger? WHen you do that with a texture it makes it pixelate and look ugly. Try reworking everything, this still looks like a WIP ! Keep it up

I think it's a great start buddy.

When making a tag think of a story and convey that via the canvas, that way it helps to marry all your ideas. The focal should look like it belongs with the bg but at the moment it needs some tweaking. Definitely use adjustment layers, effects and lighting to make a setting that makes sense for the focal. Most importantly think about creating depth. Work on your background and foreground and don't forget the midground :p
