GOvectorZ 970 Posted April 9, 2015 Nothing really to say about these Knowledge, other than my advice with Illustrator is to really stick with it. The top RH curved edge of the Samsung looks wrong to me is th eonly thing i notice about these. I have files available for the iPhone 6 HERE if you wish to have a look at how they were built up. If you need any help, or have any questions regarding Ai, give me a shout as i have a solid 4yrs experience with it now ps: i'll be releasing a file for the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge shortly if you wish to have a look at that also

Wany 58 Posted April 9, 2015 Looks solid to me, good practice if nothing else. Gotta start somewhere, keep them coming
Charon 73 Posted April 10, 2015 I agree with jimmy about the top right side of the galaxy. Other than that they look great. Simple but useful designs! Nice work!

Mootinie 40 Posted April 10, 2015 Did you trace these? I find that that's the easiest way to get better. I've been using Illustrator for around 4 years just like Jimmy and I still trace things haha. I started out by remaking famous logos like Doritos and stuff. Nice work though, I agree about the curve on the S5, it looks a little off. I have a huge set of flat phone vectors just for logo and mobile app mockups, they're super handy and they always look clean on presentations, so it's worthwhile having some. I'm nowhere near skilled enough to make them from scratch :P
GOvectorZ 970 Posted April 10, 2015 Yeah I traced round them. I'm nowhere near skilled enough to make them from scratch :P Tracing a reference is an acceptable thing to do Helps with scale & position of items whether it be from an image or a set of blueprints (still made from scratch imo). We all use references of one sort or another.
