Clip masks over text can be a real nightmare on BnW pieces, or so Ive found. It didnt quite work out this time, Im afraid.

I like the build up you went with, some not to common effect schemes and techniques used, its nice to see. With regards to Maniac-UK's observations, I agree, the flow isnt quite there. Seems extremely wide too, some height or less width is called for.

that aside, its a nice piece. KIU!!

Lighting is correct , however i think you have overlapped it with a splatter.Left bottom corner distracts me a bit cause its as you stated a bit bright . I like the sharpness though. The effects a re a bit chaotic but they re decent .Flow needs to be worked on.I do like your adjustmenets meaning brightness/contrast etc , they work well .The overall composition is pretty good as well .Text is a bit weird but hey thats art , its personal :)

I would darken the edges a tad , to make all the attention drawn to the focal , could choose a flow before i start the piece giving me the right ideas as to where my effects should be pointing hence the word flow-as flowing.

Overall , I like it , but there are some points that need to be worked on.I bet you know what to do , in the end of the day , hey its the first one after a year's gap. Looking good and keep it up !!

Mikey

After a year away from it you did a pretty good job.  Blending is very good as well as the lighting.  Agree about the flow but don't think it's that big of a problem since it's sort of abstract.

I like it, it's quite abstract so for me the fx work, im a bit different the others think the light and contrast or off a little but not much, perhaps flipping the BG horizontally would fix that though as you have a light hitting right side of render and a glare on the shoulder, however the BG is dark on right side and light on left?

Only real issue I have is the text IMO it doesnt work on this one and is bit distracting, overall really nice job for over a year off :)
