Charon 73 Posted April 26, 2015 ...doesn't fit anywhere else though. I used the pen tool, does that count? In actuality I plan on caving and subscribing to the creative suite once I get a computer that's not quite as shitty so once I am happy with a logo, I'll recreate it in illy. Anywho, I'm currently working on tweaking some professional pieces, resume, business cards, etc.. I've considered for awhile creating a logo but I've never really made one I've liked. Came up with this one today, curious on how you guys think I can improve it.
Maniak_uk 5,063 Posted April 26, 2015 Well i like the last best as more appealing to the eyes and probably doesnt need much more depending on what its actually for ? maybe some small text ? kiu
 Awards
Charon 73 Posted April 26, 2015 The 6 different logos are all the same. They're just two sizes, one large and one small and on different variations of background to give an idea on how they'd look in different scenarios. The colors don't appear as well on the lighter backgrounds. Maybe a design flaw worth looking into.
SGTROCK 1,671 Posted April 26, 2015 Agree with MK last panel, colours all work well together, has nice offset feel, only thing I would experiment with is some smaller secondary text indicating what the logo is for, ie photography, gfx etc. nice work though simple and clean:)
GOvectorZ 970 Posted April 27, 2015 Really not sure about those lines of color G unsure whether it's the color combo or the width of them. For me those strain the eyes but good staring point this.
Charon 73 Posted April 27, 2015 ^That's a very interesting point that had not crossed my mind. Maybe I could try a version with less contrast and see what that looks like. Thanks jimmy!

I think it's a combination of both to be honest. I had to feed my curiosity and have a quick little play with Illy (in spoiler).
