Ugh , i didnt even think about this idea tbh . At the time my ideas were symbolisations , for example , the different colors symbolise the diversity of character and natural role between the two genders, the space between the peeled characters symbolises the gap that is being created in courtship matters due to the social media era effects that make people become "connected" but not interpersonally.The peeled characters while being a personal favorite effect helped me achieve what i wanted so for example :the man has no eyes , meaning he is no longer able to see the female courtship signals due to the distance social media create between people.If you notice the man has a rather old clothing style meaning he is watching the whole concept astonished by the modernisatation  of a once simple communication/face to face interaction and the destruction of social joy.

 

Well one wouldnt be able to tell even the simpliest of those , but usually art symbolisations of even famous artists arent recognised until told so.

In terms of conceptualisation, you really are good, I kind of envy your imagination! This one is really great too, effects are well made ! Not exactly sure about the color pallet but then again, this is simply my own personal taste !
