SGTROCK

Not bad mate interesting concept, one thing that stands out for me though is the lack of shadows cast by elements that have been added, ie the model on the wings, the wings on the wall, the butterfly, and the rose petals etc. Shadows, even soft ones will give it that sense of depth and make it appear more natural.

Quickest and easiest way I found to add shadow is to duplicate the layer, Ie the model, add a brightness and contrast adj layer above the 2nd model and clip it, drop brightness to 0 and bump up contrast 100%, this should make it almost black, then on the model layer its clipped to, add a Gaussian blur to soften the edges, drop the opacity back to about 80% and offset in the opposite direction the light is coming from then soft erase the bits tha you don't need, sometimes you need to skew the image to get the shadow right depending on where the light is coming from :)

Agree with whats been said ,would aslo play with adjustment layers to bring all the colours together but overall not a bad start m8 kiu :<img src=:'>

About Us

Pimped Pixels was founded in 2010 by Maniak, Asura, Cliffbuck and Evilangel. Shortly afterwards Mikey jumped onboard and joined the team. We are a group of friends with a passion for art and a need to help others by sharing. The site started with just the four and in a short while grew to a community of over 4000 members. Everyone is welcome here, from complete beginners to all out professionals. We have something for everyone. Our aim is to give everyone with the "bug" a place to learn, make friends and share their passion.

Congratulations to iEatB4breakfast for winning this weeks SOTW
