I haven't been back here for so long it almost feels weird to give CNC but here goes....  :hmm:

1. It would have been nice to see the original to get an idea of what you were working with and what was changed.

2. I understand the surreal vibe but I'm not feeling the monotone

3. I really like the shadow of the birds and tree assuming they weren't there to begin with ... That being said, some parts of the overall manip are super pixelated like the image/s you used wasn't hi-res enough and you blew it up and it just got distorted so that's distracting. Also I can't see the castle (that may be the point)  but because everything is one tone even those smaller tree/vines were difficult to make out and lost in translation so to speak.

I think with some more practice you would be great at this particular kind of gfx so KAI  :<img src=:'>  :ninja:

Wouldn't call it a manipulation (maybe it's just me)

The center bird looks very akward

The quality on the top is very uh maybe blur it a bit and the trees are very pixelated if you actually look at them

Also the right bottom part. The shadow of the wall on the inner part (entrance) look off.

But overall I do feel the medieval theme

P.s if the bird and the tree are casting a long shadow why isn't the castle casting one

Edit: I'm not trying to hate, hope you improve, it's a nice piece oa ;D

Not bad mostly said above, lighting and shadows are important to pulling off a good composit. The eye is naturally drawn to things that don't quite fit and look out of place. For me it was the shadows strait away particularly the bird casting the long shadow along with the tree, but nothing else in the image is?

Quality of stock and rendering is also important, a few areas of the foreground ruins in particular have visible black edges, attention to the little details can make a good composite seem much more realistic.

I am liking the monotone sepia theme gives it a nice gothic sort of feel :)

Kai nice work :)

Agrees about the attention to details but liking the concept and tones. A rework using the above CnC should have it spot on :)

I agree about the shadows. Need to replace the trees with a better quality image. They are super pixally. The bird flying does look odd. His beak is glowing and he just looks off. I personally like the sepia look for it. Like was said it gives it that goth rustic look. Over-all you did a good just. Keep at it and you'll get better.
