Its a balance of looking good vs rendering time etc. You so need to be mindful on websites mate that it use site resources so keeping the size down is also critical because you want the site to be responsive. Sometimes you get long render time, bad quality and big size, just because you use bad settings. Its just what looks best. You can get avatar on 1mb, its ok, i think. this avatar is 1mb a bit bigger, and its kinda not the quality what its need to be for this kinda size... But maybe its just me. But i would suggest to experiment with some settings, i learned, that sometimes if you turn off just some common settings, what you realy dont need on avatar, its gives 2 times faster rendering, and sometimes, if you all let on default, you got bad quality, big render time. I was in first days rendering 3-4hours. Insane huh? after tweaking,experimenting i got 30min lolz. And you see, not so bad quality, and size is also the 1mb. just need to keep this in mind.
