I agree about the composition and depth.  Might tweak the lighting a bit.  Seems the majority of light is coming from behind the focal but it's getting washed out in front.

the render doesn't fit in well imo. try to increase the blacks of the render

It' s pretty well done but you should have increased the depth by blurring some elements.

For example the piece behing the render would have needed a light blur, the render then a bit of sharpening and the circle outside a heavy blur to give the piece a 3d effect

Then you could increase the atmo by darkening everything a bit and increasing the lights!

Composition and depth are the main point of focus in this photomanipulation. as it would seem the usage of blur adds depth. I like the theme because it's involved with some good elements that makes it grim. don't get me wrong though it's lacking some fundamental techniques. some selective coloring could have improved this tags features. monotonous colors would be the first thought that comes to mind but you probably shouldn't have stuck with that instinct being that render you chose it's not working in my opinion. lacks composition but I like the effects. for what it's worth maybe a v2. would it hurt to add colors to it?. killer photomanipulation good luck .
