I've already tried many different styles of art, it's just that this style is one that I enjoy so I'm stuck improving in this style, just trying to improve this style. It's also a general consensus with the better artists that this texture is not nice to look at. If you could have a furry texture compared to this texture many would take furry all day

still to be fair the colours are not bad but texture looks overfiltered

when you say better artists don't like this texture who do actually mean, gfx artists or traditional .art is subjective ,people develop there own styles and are not constrained by opinions.just because some people don't like it .it doesn't make it bad. its a good job Picasso and van gogh did not listen to supposedly better artists.

btw

i like this piece matey

The fact that you people can't take criticism is the reason why you people never improve

You people? I thought it was us people, Kurisu. You are part of our community. Why not drop the biased pre-conceptions from the dead site and enjoy the artwork.

I really love this piece! Wolves are amongst my favorite animals, so major brownie points for that. The only thing I don't really like about it is how bright the colors are in general. Personal preference only, I think it'd look better if the brightness was turned down a notch using some duller colors or less bright variations of the current ones. Otherwise, grade A. I love it. It's still great the way it is. :P

The fact that you people can't take criticism is the reason why you people never improve

From your comment "You people" you don't consider yourself part of our community and you think your work is superior to everyone elses?

Criticism - Its about how you construct your CnC which by the way is Constructive Criticism there is a big difference between targeting someones work and then calling them a liar  based on your own likes and dislikes and offering helpful unbiased feedback.  We are all painfully aware of your dislike for topaz but you know what we don't care because that is the artists personal choice to use it, not yours - respect that, however, you raise it every single time someone uses it, how about you focus on the qualities you like  and less on what you dislike and do it in a respectful way rather than attacking people and basically calling them a liar, when it's you that  doesn't know the difference between a PS filter and topaz?

All we ask is that you treat people the same way you expect to be treated, and be respectful of other peoples work.  I dont necessarily like certain aspects of how you construct a piece but I dont actively target it or talk down at you like I know everything either because I respect its how you like to work - its your style and you should be free to work how you wish, everyone else deserves the same respect.

As far as im concerned this discussion is finished and you have a choice.  Remember the last PM we had I said I like to give people a choice to do the right thing?

It's choice time?

About Us

Pimped Pixels was founded in 2010 by Maniak, Asura, Cliffbuck and Evilangel. Shortly afterwards Mikey jumped onboard and joined the team. We are a group of friends with a passion for art and a need to help others by sharing. The site started with just the four and in a short while grew to a community of over 4000 members. Everyone is welcome here, from complete beginners to all out professionals. We have something for everyone. Our aim is to give everyone with the "bug" a place to learn, make friends and share their passion.
