latest play with Photoshop ... my variation on a theme that's been done to death already ... i'm told it needs more lighting ... i know my weakest point is my light work but it's supposed to be a night-time scene

TBO , I think you made your cuts a little too thin,,,(on the different plates , dont follow the lines give yourself some breathing room persay,  as if your giving yourself 1 inch more inside each one  ),,  (yes lighting is a bit lack considering the amount of shadow underneath the tortoise...

Like the concept and does need some lighting work but also feel the shell strips are bit weak looking and agree that could been thicker,would also look cool if had one the section leaking water lol  kiu m8
