interesting , the main issue i see is the blurring , not only its random... it imo , its not needed especially for where the positioning of all your elements.. other then that not bad for trying to get an understanding of blending and manipulating elements together

I agree with the blurring comment, to give added depth you should be darkening or shading things according to light. Blur should come only secondary to that and in moderation. For instance, the planet in the corner, the way its blurred indicates depth of field, meaning the planet in the sense of how its blurred is actually in front of the middle focal.

Also in manipulation less is truly more, spend your time blending, getting the different lighting correct to make it more seamless instead of adding multiple different elements, especially in practice. With that being said I dont really understand the horns coming out of the nose and on the head. I think you should of focused more on making him half lion, instead of adding the horns.

I think this is a good practice! and I think you should keep working! Just remember the small details make the most difference in manipulation. And seamlessness is what makes the wow factor.  Keep it up and I hope to see more!

Does it all matter the blur and all if someone is truly happy with what they have created sometimes its nice to see the rough. sometimes the rough truly makes it great

nice attempt. yeah the blur could use some more thought in to it and you could have added more color highlights to objects.

About Us

Pimped Pixels was founded in 2010 by Maniak, Asura, Cliffbuck and Evilangel. Shortly afterwards Mikey jumped onboard and joined the team. We are a group of friends with a passion for art and a need to help others by sharing. The site started with just the four and in a short while grew to a community of over 4000 members. Everyone is welcome here, from complete beginners to all out professionals. We have something for everyone. Our aim is to give everyone with the "bug" a place to learn, make friends and share their passion.
