It looks pretty good. Main thing I see that doesn't look good to me is the center orb. Given the lighting on the rest you would want a nice reflective/glossy orb. I'd get on DA and look up some Orb tutorials. They have some great techniques out there.

In my opinion the most important thing about interface designs is the lighting/shading. Interface is all about looking 3D and real. Shadows play a huge part in that as they give it depth. From the looks of it you used mostly layer styling to get your lighting.

Try to create one without using ANY layer styling. Learn to feel out the shadows and lighting using a brush. It will help teach you where they need to go. Your layout is nice and the texture variations are nice, that's another big part of interface design.

KIU man you got a nice piece here and seems like you'll be good at this kinda thing! I'll be waitin for a new piece! lol

Awesome, the silver is really clean and shiny, not a fan of the green area, pink maybe? :)

I personally think it would look 100% better if you took out the background and kept it as a rendered image, otherwise looks good.

About Us

Pimped Pixels was founded in 2010 by Maniak, Asura, Cliffbuck and Evilangel. Shortly afterwards Mikey jumped onboard and joined the team. We are a group of friends with a passion for art and a need to help others by sharing. The site started with just the four and in a short while grew to a community of over 4000 members. Everyone is welcome here, from complete beginners to all out professionals. We have something for everyone. Our aim is to give everyone with the "bug" a place to learn, make friends and share their passion.

Congratulations to iEatB4breakfast for winning this weeks SOTW
